Healing: Politicized gs Healers Network
At the intersection of personal and social transformation is the real need for some individuals to engage in deep healing work. As transformative process and practice gain momentum in the social justice movement, we hear the call to organize politicized, relevant, and accessible somatic practitioners to support the healing and transformation of organizers and movement leaders. The somatics and trauma course has been training and developing therapists, coaches and community-based healers at the intersections of somatics, trauma and social justice for the past decade. Advanced students and alumni of the course are dedicated to building accessible practices offering their skills to the social justice movement and in low-income communities of color.
Within the next year, generative somatics will build a national network to coordinate and support politicized healers, in order to effectively support individuals and small groups engaged in social justice. The network will develop standards for politicized somatic healing that participants will be asked to agree to and uphold, in order to spread a quality somatics throughout the movement. It will provide a way for practitioners to find new clients, connect with other politicized healers, and engage with generative somatics programming and ongoing development. We hold this network as a vital component of our broader strategy to bring transformation and healing to the social justice movement.
More information on how to participate in the network coming soon!
